Writer/Director
If you want advice on a story you ask a master storyteller. Ray is a genius. His notes on my script were perfectly effortless and, even if I didn’t agree with all of them at first, they can best be described as gold dust.

Jess Hill
Script Editor
I worked with Ray on a sensitive project, which he handled with real empathy and commitment. He went above and beyond to first script edit then hone our screenplay, finding intelligent solutions while absolutely honouring the source material. We were so impressed by his screenwriting technique and professionalism – but even more importantly, had a great time with him! His sense of fun, his honesty and compassion made him a real joy to work with.

Set designer, illustrator, first-time scriptwriter
It was probably the most appealing thing on the day – Ray’s storytelling masterclass at the New Renaissance Film Festival 2016 in London. I arrived there with my first ever script and received an ‘award of merit’ so I was eager to know more about screenwriting.
Ray’s masterclass was a real eye-opener, brilliantly held and with very clear storytelling advice. I enjoyed the professionalism and the enthusiasm that spread throughout the auditorium.
When I later submitted my script for a thorough analysis, I didn’t know what to expect, but Ray not only highlighted all the points that I had my doubts about but he also offered real solutions. And he used his teaching skills to show me the right direction without hurting my artistic and extremely vulnerable self-esteem.
I highly recommend Ray to anyone at the beginning of his or her writing career.

It was great fun working with Ray. He's personable, easy to work with, efficient, and passionate about TV drama. His suggestions and solutions for how one might have improved this drama or that were always spot on and inventive.

Writer
I worked with Ray on a project that required a particularly sensitive approach and one which he had previously assessed and seen the potential in. He brought this commitment and enthusiasm to the time we spent together on editing the script. He was full of interesting, constructive ideas and was equally ready to listen and take on board suggestions. He is a very skilled, thoughtful script editor and a brilliant collaborator. It was a real pleasure to work with him.

Yugesh Walia
Producer/Director at Endboard Productions
I have worked with Ray on two screenplays. Both times it was great fun to say the least! He has a tremendous sense of humour which makes the development process a joy. His analysis of a script is sharp and insightful and he offers good suggestions for improvements. He asks questions rather than tells which steers the writer to find their own solutions.

Arif Hussain
Writer/Producer/Director at Kaos Films
Ray introduced me to his method of script editing which involved pasting the entire script to a wall. Once that was done we could see where the strengths and weaknesses lay and it was a matter of cutting out scenes that didn't work and moving around scenes that did. It was exhausting but invigorating.

Ray's input into our animated musical feature Offbeat was invaluable. Not only did he cut to the core of any issues we had he also offered examples and solutions to make it better. We are looking forward to doing a lot more work with Ray in the future.
